Plainly: we use what you tell us to answer your enquiry and run your account. We do not sell it, and we do not pass it to other suppliers.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry, check availability or apply for a job, we collect what you type into the form — typically your name, company name, mobile number, email address, city and the details of your requirement.
We also record which page the form was submitted from, the time of submission and the IP address the request came from. That is used to prevent automated spam and to understand which parts of the site are useful.
If you have a customer portal login, we hold your username, a securely hashed password (never the password itself), and your contact details. Your orders, invoices, certificates and account balance are business records held in our ERP system.
Why we use it
To respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation, confirm availability and process your order.
To maintain your account with us — invoices, delivery documentation, test certificates and ledger.
To meet our legal, tax and quality-record obligations, including the traceability records we keep against every heat of steel.
To keep the website secure and free of automated abuse.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent or trade your information to anyone.
We do not share your enquiry with other suppliers, agents or brokers.
We do not send marketing messages to people who have only made a technical enquiry.
We do not use advertising trackers or third-party marketing pixels on this website.
Who can see it
Inside our company, access is limited to the people who need it — our sales, accounts and dispatch teams. Access to the ERP is by individual login, and actions are recorded against the user who performed them.
We share information with third parties only where it is necessary to serve you: transporters need delivery details, and our accountants and statutory auditors see invoicing records. We do not give any of them permission to use your data for their own purposes.
We may disclose information where the law requires it — for example to tax authorities or under a lawful order.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept in our CRM so that we can respond, follow up and understand a returning customer. If you would rather we deleted yours, tell us and we will.
Business records — invoices, delivery challans, test certificates and ledger entries — are retained for the period required by tax law and by our quality management system. Traceability records are retained because your own audits may need them years later.
Job applications are kept on file so that a role opening later can bring us back to you. Ask us to remove yours at any time and we will.
Cookies and analytics
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
The customer portal stores your session token in your browser's local storage so that you stay signed in while you use it. It is removed when you sign out. The grade comparison tool stores your selected grades locally so they survive moving between pages — that information never leaves your browser.
Security
Portal passwords are stored as a one-way hash and cannot be read by us or by anyone else. Repeated failed sign-in attempts temporarily lock an account.
Portal data is scoped to your account at the database level — a signed-in customer can only ever retrieve their own orders, invoices, certificates and ledger.
For your security we will never send you a password by email. If you forget yours, call us and we will issue a new one you can change on first use.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete anything we are not legally required to keep.
Contact us by phone or email using the details below and we will deal with it.
